Had such an awesome opportunity to shoot a BABY SHOWER! I have been wanting to do some shoots just like this for a while now. Plus I consider it a good way to build up confidence to shoot weddings when and if I ever go down that road?? Still a little undecided.
I am going to be completely honest I was REALLY nervous to do this. I was totally out of my element. I am used to shooting in a “controlled” environment for the most part. I am ALWAYS prepared before a shoot as to what kind of lighting to expect and my surroundings. But not this time I was headed to someone's home I had never been in with just me and my little ol’camera & my weak almost pathetic collection of lenses 2 to be exact! Before I Committed to shoot the Shower I almost didn't do it. I had my self completely talked out of it. I don't have the right camera I don't have the right lenses I don't have the experience the list went on and on. My husband finally said shut it just do it have some confidence already! ha ha so I did. On the drive over when I was almost to the shower I almost turned around and text my friend with some lame excuse as to why suddenly I couldn't make it! I don't know why I was so nervous! BUT I am so glad I just got over myself and went I had so much fun! I surprised myself (as usual) They didn't turn out too bad. Of course the Shower was so BEAUTIFUL it would have been hard to mess it up! The lighting didn't turn out to be so bad. I defiantly had my ISO’s MAXED out on my little ol’camera but that's what Photoshop is for right!!
Morale of the story! JUST DO IT! Most likely you'll surprise yourself!
Thanks again Kristin for asking me to do this! I really did have such a good time! So excited for that baby to get here!! Cant wait to shoot her and your cute little family in JUNE!!!
